Honestly, I had never heard of “sermon support” either. Sunday Ready started by meeting a need.

For 20 years I served as a pastor. I loved it, but like so many pastors, I eventually hit a wall. In 2024, I stepped away from ministry after a long season of exhaustion and depression. I needed space to breathe and heal.

During that time, a few pastor friends reached out and asked if I could help them with their sermon preparation. Sermon prep had always been my favorite part of pastoring (even more than preaching). I love the research and writing.

So I started helping a few friends, and while it refreshing for me, it was even more refreshing for them. Week after week they kept telling me how much it was helping them. They were freed up to handle the pastoral responsibilities, they didn’t feel guilty for putting together a sermon at the last minute, and they got their weekend back with their families.

After a few months we all knew we had accidently discovered something pastors desperatley needed, they just didn’t know it existed. So I started Sunday Ready in 2025 with a simple mission: to lighten the load pastors carry.

Every week, we come alongside pastors in their sermon preparation. Think of us like scaffolding.

Early in the week, we hop on a zoom call to hear your heart—the scriptures stirring in you, the big idea forming in your mind. Then we go to work. While you handle everything everyone else needs you to do, we build the scaffolding of the sermon.

Later in the week, we send you a ready-to-preach draft based on your burden and ideas. You can take that draft and edit it, pray over it, personalize it, and deliver it with confidence.

We offer weekly, ongoing sermon support that lifts the burden of sermon preparation year round. But for pastors who aren’t ready to make that commitment yet, we offer sermon series-based support.
